Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the Crest iOS app or this website. Using Crest means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.
The licence
Crest is distributed through the App Store, and your use of the app is also covered by Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement. Where these terms and Apple's agreement disagree, Apple's agreement wins.
You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control. You may not resell it, rent it out, or attempt to extract its source code.
What Crest does not promise
Crest cannot promise you a grade, a pass, or any particular result. No study tool can, and any that says otherwise is selling you something it cannot deliver.
The readiness figure is an estimate produced by a memory model from your own review history. It is a useful signal and it is honest about what it measures, but it is not a prediction of your score and it should not be the only thing you rely on when deciding whether you are prepared.
Crest restructures the material you provide. It does not verify that your material is correct, complete, or current, and it is not a substitute for your course, your instructor, or professional advice of any kind — medical, legal, financial or otherwise.
Your material
Anything you import stays yours. We claim no rights over it, and as described in the privacy policy we never receive it in the first place.
You are responsible for having the right to use the material you import. Please don't use Crest with content you are not permitted to copy, or in a way that breaks your institution's rules on academic honesty.
Subscriptions
Crest is free to use for one exam. An optional subscription removes the limits on how many exams you can prepare for and how much material the app will read.
- Subscriptions are billed through your Apple Account and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Cancel at any time in Settings on your iPhone, at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for.
- If a free trial is offered and you subscribe during it, any unused portion is forfeited when the paid subscription begins.
- Prices are shown in your local currency before you confirm, and may differ between regions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. We cannot issue them, but we will help you where we can.
If your subscription lapses, nothing you have already created is deleted. The free limits simply apply again.
Availability
We do our best to keep Crest working and to fix problems quickly, but the app is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law gives you and that cannot be excluded. Features may change or be removed as the app develops.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using Crest, including exam outcomes. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
Changes
These terms may change as the app develops. The date at the top will change, and material changes will be published here before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
